Holderness, NH – Squam Lakes Natural Science Center celebrates the life and work of bees, butterflies, and other pollinators at the Pollinator Party on July 12! Bees and other pollinators play a major role in American agriculture by pollinating fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Pollinator Party brings together bees, beekeepers, flowers and more. Guests can visit with local beekeepers and learn how to raise bees. See the bee houses in Kirkwood Gardens, learn about plants that attract pollinators, and find out about native bees. Make a wildflower seed bomb to start a pollinator garden at home. Pollinator Party is included with regular trail admission ($22 for adults; $20 for seniors age 65+; $16 for youth ages 3 to 15; free for children ages 2 and under; free for members). Native Plants and Pollinators Walk-Talk

In this program, Emma Erler will take you through the Science Centers fields in search of native wildflowers, trees and shrubs. Learn about how these plants support foraging bees and larval stages of butterflies.
