M/S Mount Washington 150th Anniversary Celebration: Friday, August 12
Join us on August 12th in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the M/S Mount Washington! Come find the Lake Winnipesaukee Association team tabling at the Wolfeboro Town Docks at 4:00 PM with some lake themed children’s activities. Then, set sail with us for the 150th Anniversary Gala on the M/S Mount Washington where we will be holding a silent auction to benefit our lake protection efforts here at the Lake Winnipesaukee Association. We have some wonderful items from local businesses and artists that will be up for auction.
Check out the flyer below for more details. Looking forward to seeing you there!
July’s Cyanobacteria Presentations
Over this past month, the Lake Winnipesaukee Associationdelivered presentations at the Moultonborough Public Library and the Meredith Community Center discussing cyanobacteria in our lakes and the Winni Blue & LakeSmart program.
PDF versions of these presentations are now available on our website, including Dr. Amanda McQuaid’s (UNH Cooperative Extension) presentation that was also given during the July 12th program at the Moultonborough Public Library. Thank you to all who attended!
Winni Blue & LakeSmart Program
Interested in being Winni Blue? Sign up for the Winni Blue & LakeSmart Program! Watershed and shorefront residential development is a major threat to Winnipesaukee’s water quality. Property owners can minimize impacts from stormwater runoff through simple, cost-effective actions that they can do themselves. Our Winni Blue Crew is partnering with NH Lakes to offer this FREE, voluntary and non-regulatory property assessment as a part of our Keep Winni Blue initiative.
