Holderness, NH – Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is giving its annual summer fundraiser a complete makeover. The new Family Picnic is a brand new family-friendly event and will be held Saturday, July 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Attendees will take a walk on the wild side to celebrate insects, nature’s small and mighty creatures. There will be live animal programs, live music from Green Heron, food, drink, insect tasting, games, and more!

The ticket price includes all entertainment, food, and drinks. Food will be from food trucks Cheese Louise and Gyro Spot, The Common Man, SubZero Ice Cream; and Joye-ful Cookiery. Adult tickets include open bar with local beer, wine, and a signature cocktail. Kids will enjoy non-alcoholic bug juice. Animal programs will feature skunk, bats, and Saw-whet Owl.

Ticket prices are $75 for ages 21+; $20 for ages 12 to 20; $10 for ages 6 to 11; Free for ages 5 and under. Tickets are limited. Ticket purchases help support the care and feeding of the live animal ambassadors and environmental education programs at the Science Center.
