Cresson Covered Bridge (Aka Sawyer’s Crossing Covered Bridge) is located on Sawyer’s Crossing Road and crosses the Ashuelot River in Swanzey NH.
Cresson Covered Bridge was built in 1859. It is said that the bridge was built to replace a bridge at this site that was built in 1771.
Cresson Covered Bridge is listed in the World Guide of Covered Bridges (WGCB), number 29-03-05, and is New Hampshire covered bridge #6.
Cresson Covered Bridge is also known as Sawyers Covered Bridge.

McDermott Covered Bridge

McDermott Covered Bridge is located on Crane Brook Rd in Langdon, NH and crosses Cold River. The bridge is 89 feet, 6 inches long.
McDermott Covered Bridge was constructed in 1864 and is no longer in use. The covered bridge is now bypassed by a steel bridge that was built in 1964.
The bridge underwent restoration from 2002-2007 and was rededicated in 2008.
McDermott Covered Bridge is listed in the World Guide of Covered Bridges, number 29-10-06 and is New Hampshire covered bridge #18.

Slate Bridge was built in 1862 and is listed in the World Guide of Covered Bridges (WGCB), number 29-03-06, and is New Hampshire covered bridge #4.
Slate Covered Bridge was named after the Slate family who owned a farm near the site of the bridge in the mid-1800’s. The Slate Covered Bridge replaced an earlier bridge that collapsed while a small herd of Oxen were crossing the bridge. The owner and the Oxen were all unharmed in the accident.
The Slate Covered Bridge was destroyed by a fire that occurred on March 8, 1993. The Slate Covered bridge was replaced in 2001.
